Why Germany is so unreliable - Ruling Social Democrats incompetent, Ruling Green Party even thanks opposition parties for investigating ministry of defense (also Social Democrats)

I think at this point we need to kind of give up on Germany, France, Italy, and other countries. Clearly the massacres aren't going to shift their position, so I doubt anything else will. If a country isn't interested in helping, it can't be forced to do so. That said, there needs to be a reckoning at some point. Germany's basically trying to avoid any negative consequences for their bad decisions over the last three decades, and Ukrainians are the ones suffering. We won't forget.

Instead, the countries who are interested in helping Ukraine need to step up their aid dramatically, and work together where ever they can. Keeping Ukraine on its feet needs to be an organized, co-ordinated effort, not something that we make up as we go along. A bit more urgency from the Americans would be nice as well. These countries also need to start long-term thinking. I agree that giving Ukraine weapons that they aren't trained to use is a non-starter, so instead training Ukrainians on these systems should begin as soon as is possible.
