Germany unveils €65B in energy cost relief, vows to cap prices

Lmao ok enjoy blackouts and any industry needing natural gas inputs being destroyed due to shortages. Its econ 101 price caps just means more demand then supply as the price can't increase to match demand so shortages. Natural gas is a global commodity that ever energy needy country is bidding against each other to buy. If german energy companies can't buy it at the market rates due to price caps the natural gas will just get sold to other countries and Germany will have no gas. Companies need to be able to increase the cost as otherwise they will lose money selling it and will not buy it. There is a massive shortage due to russia getting knocked off the market so since demand is higher then supply the price must rise otherwise shortages.
