The Gerrymandering of Reddit

The bottom line here, quite simply, is that social justice warriors (and the activist Left in general) will use any and all tactics available to them to win, as long as two conditions are met.

a} That the Left are able to maintain at least the superficial perception of moral superiority, or having the moral high ground in general. If you more closely investigate their behaviour, you will find that they are in fact completely devoid of anything remotely resembling honour for the most part; but that doesn't matter. The surface appearance does.

b} Whatever other tactics the Left use to obtain their objectives, said tactics can never include a genuinely objective or impartial debate where the Left are compelled to rely exclusively on the real merit of their arguments; and the reason for this is because in any debate where they are not permitted to stack the deck, they will inevitably lose. They themselves well know this. This is also why every post I make to this subreddit is voted down, including, very predictably, this post itself; while said downvoting is virtually never accompanied by any attempt at counter-argument. The Left must resort to coercion. They must resort to either force or fraud, because they literally have nothing else.

The one continued psychological effect that Reddit is having on me, is that it is reinforcing to me on a daily basis that I live within (or at least parallel to) a society whose dominant consensus, is made up of values which are diametrically opposed to my own. While this has been the reality for the majority of my life, I am finding that the older I get, the more psychologically exhausting my resistance becomes, to the usual, overwhelming human need to belong and derive validation from the larger collective.

Said need also represents the single most potent weapon that the atheistic Left have in their arsenal. They are able to use the threat of ostracision to enforce compliance with their view of reality. They will not employ physical violence, because to do so would compromise their ability to associate themselves with their twin messiahs, Gandhi and MLK; but given the nature of the society we live in, physical violence is not necessary anyway. Exile is enough.
