getting back into the game, nobody to play with!

I disagreed with you and thought you weren't very good at analyzing the evidence, so I posted an extremely to-the-point example. The words "seasonal" and "regular" did indeed appear in the first sentence, but the essence of the sentence points towards "seasonal".

Let's analyze facts:

hey guys, i got back into the game a couple weeks ago and hit it pretty hard; my seasonal paragon level is higher than my regular paragon! i feel like i've gotten pretty lucky with drops, but that's beside the point. i'd like to join a clan to have people to chat with/run GRs/etc. :D

  • We know that non-seasonal has been around for years, where seasonal has only been around for months.
  • We also know that paragon in both seasonal and non-seasonal accumulate at the same rate.
  • His seasonal paragon is higher than his non-seasonal paragon.
  • He just 'got back into the game' which means that he hasn't been playing for an extended period, well before this season started.
  • He has mostly been playing within the past few weeks.
  • We are in a Barbarian oriented subreddit.
  • His seasonal barbarian is far better geared than his non-seasonal barbarian.
  • He was exclaiming about how far he has come recently.
  • If he has been gaining paragon, he is playing a level 70 character.
  • (my personal experience) The vast majority of players who play seasonal will play strictly seasonal until that season is over or they get bored.

Let's analyze conclusions:

  • If he is posting this in the barbarian subreddit, he is probably playing a barbarian.
  • If he has higher paragon on seasonal than non-seasonal, we know that he must have accumulated it recently.
  • If he accumulated it recently and his only high level seasonal character is a barbarian, he must have been playing his seasonal barbarian.

Now that I've explained my side of the argument, here are some facts which make the argument moot:

"Please do not talk to me." You can't insult someone and then tell them to not respond. That only makes it worse. You know that.

In fairness, the demeanor of your initial comments paints you as someone who will take criticism very personally, and so I expected you to take my response personally. Your initial argument was very poor yet you were very sure of it, and your followup response was very childish.

The reason that I proceeded to write the response that I did (in the patronizing manner that I did) was to expose what I suspected: you were more concerned with your personal image than the actual answer. And unless you are an actual child, I have very little sympathy for that attitude. If you act like that on a normal basis, you would do well to work to reform that part of yourself.

I also wanted to put you in your place.

Downvote all you want, it doesn't change anything.
