This is getting out of hand.

Well no, it's not quite that.

It's that these people have no frame of reference. The only time they've heard of concentration camps is when learning about the Nazi's, and (somewhat correctly) they deduce that these camps today, aren't the same as the Nazi ones, ergo they can't be the same thing.

What they don't know, or are intentionally avoiding, is that Japanese people were put in concentration camps during WW2 in America, Britain use them against the Boers, both used them to contain PoWs during both WW's and various other countries have used them in the last two centuries.

They don't seem to get, or are intentionally trying to miss characterise concentration camps as something that only Nazi Germany used and in which thousands upon thousands of people die.
