Yes it is true. As a Doctor you don't have to be that intelligent just able to retain information and test well. Many Doctors also happen to be narcissist which seems to be what you are describing. Nothing you have sad states why it counters my point. He may be a Doctor but that does not preclude being of low intelligence. As a former paramedic I have met lots of doctors many are not what I would call open minded and many I would classify as ignorant or just plan dumb.

Last point you mention zero street smarts led this person to be scammed. Well that proves my point its all part of well rounded intelligence. There is also too much intelligence like those unable to understand or preform what are considered normal human tasks or behavior yet can solve incredible math problems in their head yet cant understand human emotion. If you asked me if I would consider the people that fit the example to be intelligent I would say no.

The average IQ is 98 which is so laughably low and proves my point honestly those below 100 shouldn't be allowed to breed. Then again schools don't care about IQ they only care about test scores for funding. Thus morons like that scammed doctor can become a doctor yet have limited intelligence.
