Thanks for this perspective. I totally wouldn't mind if she would wander off or stick to a large group of friends that are having fun while I'd go on my own to club B. I'd even tell her to stick with the group and I would return if that would have been the case.

The fact was how it went down. It was just two friends who weren't really having fun. One of them was quite depressing that night. (No offense to my friends, they're awesome.) and my girl certainly wasn't talking/having fun with them. There was possibly 1 girl she knew in club A. She was the one asking to come with me as normally the plan was for her to stay home.
