Gf, permanent resident is planning to get naturalized through the army

So to follow up, she said the recruiter told her that I can get my citizenship etc faster and so can her family, ( we are getting married in a few months) but from what I read online you have to already have a green card to get those benefits. Which neither me or her family has. She wants us to get the papers faster that’s why she is applying to go in the service but from my understanding it won’t come any faster, technically since she will become a citizen it will since our greencards will have a priority but she can apply for citizenship in an year and a half anyway. Is that correct? That there are no direct benefits for non greencard holders?
