GF wants her little sister to move in with us, I don't want that

I was looking into transferring from a 1 bed to 2 bed within the same complex. I would be required to prove that I had 5x 1 month's rent in my bank account to demonstrate "financial stability." That's not even covering that despite having been approved by the complex once, I would apparently have to file another application with an application fee and a transfer fee. I'm disabled and on disability. Thankfully, my mother is willing to be my guarantor. If I didn't have her, I would probably not have been able to even secure my current place.

So, it's not just a lack of available places. The requirements to secure a lease are often completely insane. I have no idea how families living paycheck to paycheck are supposed to do so. The idea of paying money just to apply when you might not even be approved is crazy to me.

Getting a place is not easy right now and I think that it's wild to act like it is.
