Upvoting for exposure, but important to note the author noted the exploit wasn't even profitable, see here and while a mod confirmed further down that this had been requested, it is the only instance they mention that this had been requested, see here. I don't presume to know the full story, but it is important to note the mods have autonomy in this subreddit, and they only participate if this is an exploit they believe shouldn't be revealed, which in that case was pretty PG and was easy to encounter in normal play, see here
