GI Article providing details for Skylanders Supercharged

Honestly, most of the stuff in this article disappointed me. I liked seeing more screenshots and I'm glad all the characters can go in vehicle sections, but most of it was disappointing.

Only 20 new characters, which is including reposes (which aren't as exciting as new characters, imo, because they don't have new backstories/personalities and are rooted in an old design). Some people are saying that the vehicles have upgrade paths, but I can't find a source for this. This article mentions that you can upgrade vehicle parts using Gearbits, but for all we know that could mean anything from full upgrade paths for every piece to just stat boosts (the vehicles have stats, I saw it in some B-Roll footage).

There are mandatory vehicle sections requiring land cars. One of the things I liked about the old games was that you could play through the main game however you liked. With one favourite character. I know this sounds kind of whiny, but having to keep a car around for sections where it's mandatory or for replaying certain levels seems annoying. And it just seems stupid that there are mandatory gimmick vehicle sections when we had mandatory vehicle sections without gimmick toys before.

I'm also unhappy if the game being 50% vehicles is accurate- I didn't like the vehicle sections before because they always played the same with every character, and they don't look much more interesting this time.

I really hope this game turns out better than I expect. Heck, I still think it'll be better than TT and Giants. I'm not trying to be totally negative about it, I love Stormblade, and I like how they're handling reposes. But it doesn't seem up to par with SF.
