For anybody reading this outside Australia: don't get the wrong idea, its not like everyday we are under attack from spiders. In my whole life, I've had maybe 3 huntsmen spiders appear inside the car (I'm 40 years old). Like I said in the above post, it really depends where you live. The most I've ever encountered them was in Bendigo... But some places not at all... As someone who is arachnophobic, spiders are just a pest you have to live with. For example, don't leave your car windows open overnight, even an inch, because a spider might get in.... Must say, as much as I fear them (unreasonable fear or not), I'm also in awe of them as creatures of this earth. Very hardy insects with a great survival instinct.
