Why has Gimple been blatantly spoiling Negan's fate for all of the non-comic-readers?

Have you? I just replied to someone else but do you not remember his scene with Gabriel?! He's confronted on his relationships with his wives and it's the one moment you see him vulnerable (at least I thought so).

What a villain says about themselves doesn't make it so. Just because Negan says "I don't rape" doesn't make it true. He also says he saves people, that's he's a "good guy" a few times. Do you believe these statements too?

That's what makes Negan an interesting character, he's totally delusional in that he creates this moral compass for himself with his own rules so on his mind he's not the bad guy. But he absolutely does force women into a situation where they don't have much of a choice. And make no mistake, the choice he gives them is not for their own benefit, it's to convince himself he's doing nothing wrong- because if they agree then in his mind they consented (despite it not really being a real choice for most of those women).

People should stop simplifying Negan as a guy who's "anti rape", he's a much more complex, dangerous and manipulative character than that, which puts him above other villains we've seen in the show.
