Girl (23F) that I (24M) am dating is obsessed with having a kid...

I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t really anchor me to her. IF she did get pregnant and decided to keep it then I would simply leave and not acknowledge the child after it was born. I’d refuse to have anything to do with her or it. Likely I would take out a restraining order for safe measure if she kept pushing. But honestly if I did take out the restraining order she’d lose her visa and be sent home. Which I wouldn’t want because I think she definitely deserves a good life and she’s a lovely girl. Life here in my country would be much better for her.

Now, legally she could try to force me into acknowledging the child but because we aren’t married there’s very little chance of me being forced into anything. Besides, my family are lucky enough to have several friends that are lawyers, so I’d be covered there. I know that morally it’s questionable and very cold to just pretend the kid doesn’t exist, but honestly it’s better for it and myself that way.

I met this girl through Reddit btw and things progressed from there, so it’s not like I was getting a ‘mail ordered bride’ that will do whatever. I’ve been fortunate to have had a few girlfriends and FWB relationships over the years and am pretty confident that I can be ‘choosy’ and still find someone that shares my stance (:
