A similar situation happened to my brother as well (not something that went on for 8 months, but a couple of months). He slept with this girl who already had 4 kids but he was moving out of state for a job and he obviously didn't mention it to her since it was basically a one night stand.

So he leaves, and she ends up contacting him through his friend (she was the cousin of his friend) about 2 months later saying she's pregnant and it's his baby. He freaks out initially but our mom works with an OB/GYN and told my brother to tell the girl she'll get her established with her doctor and also that they need to have a paternity test just to make sure it's my brothers baby.

This girl FREAKED out and started saying "how can someone make something up like this" and "why would I lie about a baby" and "cant you give me money so I can move me and my kids in with you?" this girl even sent him ultrasound pictures with the name and date part cut off. Turns she obviously wasn't pregnant and was only looking for someone to take care of her and her four kids because her husband had gotten deported.

Some women are outrageous and so questionable when they make up something like a pregnancy.
