I remember going on a field trip in probably 4th or 5th grade to these Crystal Caves, which was basically the pinnacle of excitement at that age. So all the kids would lean out the windows and try to get passing trucks to honk. Nothing. Finally, just as we're about to pull off onto a country road, the truck let out a huge honk, MUCH louder than any of us were expecting.

Including our science teacher Mr Bellinger, who had sort of dozed off. The noise startled him so badly that he apparently clenched his legs together, toppling his thermos of coffee onto his lap.

Looking back, he was actually pretty cool about it. But he definitely explored those caves with us sporting a giant brown stain on his slacks, which was of course comedy gold.
