A girl in my class said the fact I was an atheist made her so uncomfortable she had to leave the room.

I actually currently go to Texas Tech and I find this wild considering the types of religious nutjobs we get yelling in the free speech area by the SUB all the time.

Like personally I'm not atheist (found this on r/all lol) but I find this ridiculous. We have some real crazies in that free speech area sometimes yelling at people and tryna push their beliefs on people. My freshman year there was a lady with a sign that said "Stop the war on anuses" and yelled at a trans woman that she should not be trans and just "love his(her) penis." If anything THAT should make people uncomfortable more than someone simply stating that they believe something. What you did pales in comparison to that shit.

Saying that you're atheist does nothing to combat this girl's beliefs and it doesn't suddenly make everything that you say "against her religion." Does she think that every single she meets is Christian or something? I dunno. I just find this wild but honestly not out of the spectrum of things I'd expect at Tech.
