I don't want to misunderstand each other. I'm not condoning violent behavior, period.

I don't think it's right for girls to slap guys. I don't think it's right for a guy to get in a girls face and make threats, either. A lot of those videos seem to be a guy being a non-physical jackass, and the girl responding with violence, and then the guy retaliating with stronger force. That's a horrible example of "equal rights" is what I'm saying.

I am NOT saying that any of that situation is okay- they should BOTH be removing themselves from the situation, not starting a fist fight.

Now, defending yourself is different. If you are literally under physical attack, of course defend yourself. Defensively. Do what you have to do to get away.

Now what I was specifically speaking of is a couple of videos where the fight was over, the girl is walking away or otherwise, time has passed, and THEN the guy decided to sucker punch the girl in the back of the head, knocking her onto the ground - a huge difference in force and NOT in physical defense. That is not okay. You're obviously stronger. She should have known that and not started anything, but that doesn't validate hurting someone just to hurt them.

And please, I beg you, don't turn this into a back and forth "fuck feminism" tirade. I won't participate. If you want examples, go watch a bunch of videos on that subreddit and then try tell me that they're all fair and 100% the woman trying to get away with injustice "because she's a girl." Because that's what I thought the subreddit was supposed to be, and it's not. It's mostly just a bunch of (male and female) idiots being violent, and men trying to show women "what they deserve" for starting a physical altercation. It's despicable.
