So a girl I went to highschool with went as "Lil Wayne". Yes she is white.

Can I ask you that leaving history aside, what is offensive about this?

I understand that historically this looks very bad. But what would be achieved by a blanket condemnation? Is there any room for context here?

If you say that this is a blanket ban because black community Care about it very deeply, then at the same time, I care about global warming and find anyone using cars offensive (hyperbole I know).

History must be taught, and learned from, there is no reason to be retributive about things.

The only reason I can that someone might not want to do something like this is because people might get triggered. But that doesn't mean that people are justified in being triggered.

And btw, I'm not white.
