however gaming may help with “teamwork” or “leadership”, it absolutely does not improve face-to-face communication skills. not only do sports improve in all of these areas, which are all highly applicable to the real world. with gaming, even if one had the initiative to be active by working out, playing a sport would still be more efficient and productive because one would not need to accomplish two or more tasks to be equivalent to one task, in which case one would be able to spend more time socializing with females, achieving the intent of the original post.
