Thank you for the Awesome offer!

This isn't anything truly amazing, but I thought I would share it on here as it was a really positive experience for me. This is the first time I have typed this out so I know it's a TLDR but hopefully you are enlightened by my experience!

I was in Toronto seeing a concert with my girlfriend a few months ago. We had purchased some beer before the stores closed and were thinking we could get a locker at the train station or somewhere nearby to store our goodies hoping to have a few pints later that night with some friends when we got back home.

We had taken a 2 hour train ride to the city might I add, so we didn't have a car or anything for storage purposes while we were at the show.

Lo and behold because of 9/11 etc., the station no longer offered on-site storage and we had around $40 in beer and about 20 minutes until the show began.

"What the hell do we do now??"

We went and talked to the door people at the concert, the help desk at the train station and everyone told us, "Just stash it somewhere and hopefully someone wont find it!" ....

"oh ok, so you are afraid of bombs in lockers but you are just fine with me stashing a black backpack somewhere nearby......"

"Riiiiigggghhht".... I wasn't going to do it, there were thousands of people everywhere. My stuff was as good as gone.

Then the moment of desperation came upon us, either we toss the stuff and cut our losses, hide the bag and hope it doesn't get stolen, or find someone outside the venue to watch the backpack for us and hopefully be an honest, AMAZING human being.

Here's the amazing part

We had spoken to a Hot Dog vendor down the street from the venue earlier and asked him where a certain place was and had slipped him $5. The guy seemed pretty blown away by the small tip and we went on our merry way.

My girlfriend and I both looked at each other and cried out, "This guy is our last chance!"

We ran up to the hot dog guy giggling and asked him for the biggest favor he could ever do for a couple he had only just spoken to for a minute or two hours before.

"Hey man, I know this is going to sound strange as all hell but we are going to see the concert in like 20 minutes and we have nowhere at all to stash our booze and the stores are closed and they wont let us bring the stuff inside, we have asked everyone, we have talked to everyone and nobody will help us!"

The guy laughs and says, "Hey you guys tipped me for the directions earlier, the least I can do is help you guys out."

I proceeded to say with a huge grin, "I guess if you aren't here when we get out, you will be having a pretty awesome night on us!"

He smiled and stuffed the bag in the storage compartment of his hot dog cart, we gave him $10 and told him we would hopefully see him in around 2 hours.

The concert was great, we had a total blast and the whole time I kept wondering if the hot dog guy kept his word.

We had to catch a train in 25 minutes, so I quickly ran outside, jogged down the street and the Hot Dog guy was standing there with a big grin on his face. I thanked the guy big time and he said, "Not a problem at all man!, I hope you guys enjoyed the show!"

After removing a few sealed packs of wieners from the compartment, the guy pulled my backpack out from his cart storage and everything was intact. I chucked him another few dollars, shook his hand and rushed back to meet my girlfriend for the train home.

I was so completely blown away by my experience that night. The fact that he could have easily packed up and left with our stuff and probably never see us again.

My girlfriend and I were completely BUZZING from the positive experience and it made our trip to the city an amazing one with such an awesome story to tell!

I am just happy there are amazing, awesome and completely honest people out there in the world!

RESTORED!

I know it doesn't mean much, but thanks a lot "TROY the hot dog guy!"

You Saved Us!
