[GIVEAWAY][STEAM] To celebrate my new Steam Group, I'm giving away to RAoG 2x Steam Codes total for Dimmdrive + CPUCores!

To reiterate my post on the Steam group for Fallout 3:

I lost my detailed post, so I'll skip ahead and explain the two more relevant ones.

  1. Doom

  2. Age of Empires (1)

  3. World of Warcraft

Here's where the plot thickens. I started in late Vanilla, but I didn't really know what on Azeroth I was doing. I didn't really play in the next expansion either. I came in pretty much full time in Wrath of the Lich King. All, memories. It was just so lovely, that game. Mind you, me nor my more accomplished (in game) brother had not played Warcraft 3, just 1 and 2, and even then not enough to understand anything, really. However, even we recognized it was an amazing game at this point. Nothing could top it. I didn't even raid, but I was still so immersed, and so amazed.

Then Cataclysm came out. I started raiding, albeit in Raid Finder. I played this one heavier. I understood the value of the content this time, and though a lot of people didn't like it, I loved it. Deathwing gives me more shudders than even the legendary Arthas. Both of them, really though, are the greatest villians conceived, and both were originally heroes. Ah....

Then Mists of Pandaria came out. At this point I was very much into this game. Not as much as hardcore players, but I raided Raid Finder all the time (and one or two Normal raids), and I was just so awed by this new, mystical land, that I didn't see how everyone else hated the expansion. World of Warcraft could do no wrong. Blizzard was perfect. No matter what they did, I had been there since the beginning, and would never leave.

Then Warlords of Draenor came out. I raided for real here, but the expansion was a trainwreck for me, and just about everyone, once I hit 100, even with the glee I had when I raided. It could be so great...

Legion has been announced, and it'll probably be the end. Whether it is or not, I will stick it through, to the end. I will not leave. I will see World of Warcraft's story to the end, and I will never forget it.

Spoken like a true nerd.

It is... invincible.

Finally, 1. Diablo. (/Diablo II)

This. Bloody. Game.

It is probably the first I played, but even if not, it is one of them, and, with Diablo II included, the most memorable ever.

It was hard. Me, my dad, and my brother would play it, and I still remember how we'd have my brother run around as bait for Diablo as my substantially-more-powerful father and I nuked him down. So. Fun.

But Diablo isn't the main course.

Diablo II. Arguably my favourite game ever. No, literally, I'd probably call it the best video game in existence.

It's tough. Tough as hell. Oh, well, if you can't handle it, don't save the world. Simple.

It's amazing, no doubt about it.

Diablo II... its story, its gameplay, albeit simple. The characters, the quests. The music. The monsters, the terrifying-ness. Everything is so united and amazing. And immersive. It is a perfect game, no dispute. Every bit of this game leaves me wishing it never ended. It's just one of those gems that are not stained, like Pink Floyd or Team Me, or Fablehaven, or Dishonored, or Chronicles of Nick. Whatever, I'll love this game forever and I will always be inspired by it.

And that's it.

The end.
