Giving up on Breath of the Wild

Not sure how it read, but the point of my comment was expressing what I enjoyed and did not enjoy about the game.

I most enjoyed wandering around and discovering the memory locations, much more so than grinding through shrines and mandatory combat. To me, that most captured what I remember fondly about the original NES Zelda of wandering around, exploring, and discovering. (Or sometimes discovering things through word of mouth/guides, because let's face it, I remember most of my friends passing on some sort of fact along, i.e. how you can get inside one hidden dungeon by burning a bush. Pretty sure I read that was intentional)

To me, the most enjoyable feedback loop was centered around exploration. The reward for the exploration is discovering somewhere new - even just a new view. To me, I just disagreed with what the game emphasized, but I also acknowledged what I didn't like appealed to others, so *shrug*
