Gladys Berejiklian Resignation Megathread!

Not that we are out of the pandemic, but she pretty much oversaw most of it to get the state back to normalisation, and now someone else will get to reap the fruits of it, even if a little.

I'm not condoning her allegedly involvement in the corruption scandal. That would be for the justice system to determine if she is guilty.

I kudos her for she has done as a premier throughout this unprecedented pandemic to her best of her ability, and I might say pretty decently. It is a thankless, tiring and immensely stressful position to be in, that she showed up everyday during this time.

I know others will shoot her down quickly for some gaffes, like not locking down fully earlier etc ,but as we all know in the greater scheme of things, it is never so simple and straightforward to administer things. That could probably be a host of politics involved behind the scenes that we will never hear off, much like those we have seen and experienced in our own working lives.

Could she have done better? Maybe. Could someone else have done better? Perhaps. We have seen many changes on a state and federal level over the past few years, with our leaders coming and going like diapers being replaced.

She has been a face of stability in this trying and uncertain period, and this nation, not just the state's need a stable and capable leadership to navigate the journey ahead, so we can sail through it smoothly.

I would still like to thank her for steering the state as outstandingly as she could. Thank you Gladys for your commendable work and I wish you the very best!
