Glaring inaccuracies in the premiere [S15E01 spoilers]

Research makes no sense on Grey's outside of the first few seasons.

Research takes years of knowledge and minor experiments before most people come even close to attempting a clinical level test. Christina's made somewhat sense as hers was more about using current tech in a new way. Shepherd jumped around Nuero fields like there was no difference between Alzhymers drugs and computer mapping.

Meredith's research makes zero sense. A single person who dedicates every hour of their life to their research wouldn't be able to jump around fields like she does. Never mind that she took a year off to travel and has three kids she is single handedly raising. Oh and yeah, a board member and head of a department carrying out a minimum of 40 hours on her surgical duties (that's how they actually make the hospital money which as a board member should be her #1 priority). It's one thing to try and show someone as accomplished in their field and being a star, but that have made her so amazing it makes no sense.
