Glasvezel built in by KPN without me saying “yes” to it

I do know how these types of court cases work though, and the fact that the renter did not show up and did not respond to anything greatly influenced the outcome.

Loads of fiber roll outs have taken place where people have not objected. I did object. Now why did the owner not take me to court if this is the law of the land and the installation of fiber would give the owners so much benefit?

The case you quote is simply a case where the opponent did not show up, which greatly influenced the outcome. Had this renter opposed from the start, this would have had a different outcome.

OP in this case ignored all communication from the start, that will weigh against him as well.

It's a matter of taking action straightaway. But eh, you don't have to believe me. The glass fibre ends where the property I rent start, despite the fact that this was owner-supported installation.....
