Keep in mind that when we talk about Shauna, she regularly compliments POC for being hard working. Immigrants are praised by her for being productive hard workers and are never once told to slow down or do less - in fact she tells us that they genuinely enjoy working and implies they are doing it by choice. POC who are authors and playwrights and restaurant owners are encouraged to keep producing because she loves their work. Shauna and her followers are the only ones meant to seek less and less productivity and to actively strike back against the notion that they should work at all.

In a general non-Shauna sense most of the messages I read/hear seem to emphasize balance. You work some, you relax some. You engage in productive contribution, you restore yourself engaging with your family and community. You educate yourself about hard and complicated things, you meditate to let your mind relax. If you are privileged you spend your energy filled years working, and you spend your later years at leisure.

I've never heard anyone speak with hate about time spent thinking or caring for each other.
