$GME/AMC is so last season. $BBBY/FUBO is this season.

Here’s my issue with FUBO: (1) we’re nosediving into recession, making their outrageous $69.99/month price point even more absurd; (2) their biggest opportunity on paper for customer acquisition is the December FIFA World Cup, but over 60% of the games are aired before 8am ET; (3) Amazon is aggressively expanding into sports streaming, adding them in an existing bundle for Prime Video which costs a fraction of what FUBO charges. Sure, Amazon only buys rights to a select few games (so far), but all it takes it airing the right few games to diminish the value proposition of a separate FUBO subscription.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m also looking for the next moonshot. But if this one doesn’t work out, bag-holding is real.
