Godzilla: King of the Monsters - Official Trailer 2

Without any humans involved it would just be a giant CGI video game with monsters and rockets and building destruction

It worked for Pacific Rim.

The humans were only there in small parts to move the story along but weren’t needed at all to convey size or scope to the Jaeger versus Kaiju scenes.

I’d go as far as to say shoehorning in the human story only hurt those movies.

The human element wins awards, the monsters make it a blockbuster.

I like Oscar bait as much as the next guy but a movie about big monsters fighting shouldn’t be prioritizing the human story when the humans are clearly the most inconsequential element.

It like shooting a Transformers movie from the POV of ants. Ants can’t take down a Transformer and more then human can take down these monsters, somdomt overplay their significance.

That’s just how I feel and I have no doubt it’ll be an unpopular sentiment
