Going back to school for nursing, question about paths to get there.

I have seen accelerated programs for LPN/RN to ASN. Our local college offers a traditional RN track (ASN) in five terms after prerequisites, most of which I already have (I still need anatomy and physiology II). There nearest university does not have an accelerated program for BSN. I am looking into private programs to see if I can find a good and affordable accelerated BSN. If not, I will most likely get the ASN and maybe do the additional courses for BSN online at some point, if needed. My goal would be to get back to work as soon as I could since I won't work during school and life is so much better with two incomes in the family. The other option was a one year trade school for LPN, but I think I'll stick to the RN path. How are you enjoying nursing compared to your first career?
