I've had my share of roommates. Some totally bitchy, some totally awesome. Some with zero respect for privacy sitting down to do a #2 while you're busy showering in the same bathroom, some who hang up this newspaper sized roster with household tasks and shower hours. Some bring in guys all the time, others demand there'll be no guests. Some roomies will bite your head off if you bring alcohol to the room, others are total potheads. I've had to deal with most, or knew someone else who did. But there's plenty of awesome folks too who you'll really click with.

In the end it takes some searching before you find a fellow gamer who's fairly chill and friendly enough to not get annoyed with. My eventually roomie was an occasional gamer who got more and more into gaming as she saw me gaming a lot. She was a Wicca, so there was the occasional scent of incense, but I'm happy it wasn't weed atleast. It did help that I went to an arts school, the people there are a lot more chill and unconventional than the overly girly "pfft, games are for boys" girls you may sometimes encounter at college or uni.

If a roomie doesn't work out, say so, stop caring if they call you a snob for saying so and agree to find a new roomie each.
