I know this is going to get hate but

Completely agree. Her run with Paradise, UV & HM was her peak (imo)

But I have to acknowledge that there would be no win-win here. Lana is getting older, gaining more wisdom/maturity. When she created BTD-LFL (2011-2017) she was still very young and was diving into topics that reflected that.

BTD was young/tragic romance. Paradise was Biblical. UV was an affair. Honeymoon was her struggle with newfound fame. LFL was all over the place but she was in the beginning phases of shifting her sound to where she is now.

If she were making BTD-like records now, people would criticize her for not evolving enough. I am a little disappointed with the country sound/aesthetics, tbh. Bc I didn't think her sound would take such a drastic turn to something so opposite of what she has previously done. But her lyrics have gained so much wisdom.

I hope moving forward that she could explore genres outside of country but still not stray too far from her past work. I know people would love for her to work with Kevin Parker, make psychedelic rock. Or a full-on trip hop record like Portishead/Massive Attack.
