Going into investment banking/finance with a medical degree?

Don't worry, none taken. I understand it might sound like I'm having second thoughts about choosing medicine because of money, but realistically this is an unlikely choice for me. I wanted to be a surgeon since I was eight and it's very likely I will work in healthcare if I do get my firm/insurance.

The reason for my interest stems from my recent research into job opportunities from universities offering clearing courses if I miss my offers. It will be unlikely for me to go into medicine as good A level grades are needed and that won't be the case if I end up in clearing, so I started looking at science degrees, and noticed many graduates go into finance related careers. I was just wanted to know whether the same opportunities are available to medical students, to gain a better knowledge of alternative career options for medical graduates.
