Was going to post this as a reply to a self-disparaging UBI "supporter" in one of the other posts, but the thought developed enough to stand alone as a submission instead. Thoughts, analyses, and critiques are welcomed.

An incredibly ad hominem response. Most of the assumptions you state here were never implicitly stated. The very few examples I provided as uses for UBI are in response to the comment I was initially responding to since the individual was laughing at the idea, and saying they were going to stop working and explicitly use their UBI on drugs and hookers. That's not in any way a full coverage of what they wrote, nor is my reply a full coverage of what I think UBI is capable of. That anti-consumption bit you're claiming at the end is extremely off-base with the actual theme I was overall presenting to them.

However, not sure how much more to explain since you seem sure that how I wrote it is exactly how I view UBI... And, really, your response isn't requesting even this much of an explanation to clear anything up, so... Thanks for the viewpoint.
