I got a 1997 VW Golf 3 Variant about 2 weeks ago. While driving the last few days i noticed that sometimes the car makes a weird noise for around 1-5 minutes, but only while driving straight. If I slightly steer right or left, the noise goes but often returns, after the steering wheel gets back into straight position. I don't know if that's a coincidence, but the three times it has happned so far were about 10 minutes after leaving the highway (Autobahn) where i drove around 120kmh/75mph. You can hear what I mean in the dashcam video above. Sorry for the blur, in my country it's not allowed to publish videos showing license plates of other people and censoring them one by one wouldn't really make sense for this.
