Good article on the BS of Patel’s company (the guy building the Dale Mabry palace)

Throwaway I worked at Freedom for a while including when Darren was there. There were plenty of shady things happening, but (I saw) nothing serious enough to warrant whistle blowing. A lot of it was just thifty\unethical business practices. Darren always seemed out of sorts. He had less and less responsibilities. He would sleep in his car in the middle of the day. And then stopped showing up to the office, but still on payroll. I heard differing descriptions of his death.

Some other observations: years ago.... The Wellcare enrollment manager got walked out by CEO for stealing enrollment information to start his own business. Sidd hires him. Wellcare CEO becomes Freedom CEO. Enrollment guy eventually becomes VP. Enrollment dept had "voluntary" unpaid after hours events. Reported to HR and those events were changed. OTC manager got caught profiting faking employee overtime. Compliance director was related to CEO. At least 7 architects have worked on the "palace". Patel wanted a helicopter pad at the house. Neighbors and zoning board said no. Most Florida IPA's independent doctors associations) are owned or financed by Indian doctors and financers. Patel's son is in politics. Daughter "owns" a different Med Adv company.

It's easier for businesses to make money now and pay fines later. Patel's business isn't alone. I don't think he was complicit like Sidd was. But he has certainly built up his name to extend his legacy for him and his kids.
