Good Marriage Stories

Very true, it puts relationship and marriage in a bad light and scares people off to even try.

S: my husband

My story is like a dream or chick flick movie. I met my husband a few years ago on a festival he played with his band. My back-then-bf was a huge fan, so we went to the signing session (the band i wanted to see cancelled their gig, so i had nothing better to do). While my ex was hyping in fanboy mode i took a super silly photo with a guy i expected to never meet again. How wrong i was! I split up soon after the festival with my ex, because he cheated on me and loads of other bullshit. I was done with dating for that time. Two years ago i visited a friend and her husband in another country and the band happened to play there at the same time. We’re both rock fans and decided to go see the show, but what happened after was the best! I brought an Australian flag to the show for fun (Australian band) and S took it from the stage to put it on his amp. After the gig my friend and i stood a few minutes longer in the front row, i was checking my phone when she hit my backhead to get my attention. I looked first pissed at her and she pointed in direction of the stage, where S desperately tried to get my attention to ask if he can keep the flag and if we could meet up. We chatted at the bus for a few minutes and he put me on the guest list for an upcoming show close at my place. We met a few days later there and talked about 2-3 hours, where i told him that i planned already a trip to Australia. He asked me if we could hang out there. Before another goodbye we shared our first kiss. Fast forward a few weeks, christmas time in Australia, we had our first date on which he already invited me to meet his family. I changed my whole holiday plans to spend my time with him. We became inseparable, the chemistry was right all along and we formed such a strong bond that survived two years of a long distance relationship between Europe and Australia. We got married this year before S headed out again for touring. I’ll move to Australia this December, caught up on a lot of festivals and shows with my husband this year and looking forward now to a bright future in down under. :)

I left out a lot of details to keep it a bit shorter, but all in all i can say i’m living the dream. I married a rockstar from the view of other and in mine the most amazing, kind and creative human being i’ve ever met!
