My view here is: if a reader cannot understand what a writer is trying to convey because that writer has poor writing skills, this is not an expression of freedom (as you believe) but instead, an insertion of ambiguity into discourse which acts as a disservice to broader understanding.

If there were no structure, syntax, no rules to language, understanding would be lost. And, that doesn’t help anyone.
