Good Samaritan's have it hard

Narcan if administered incorrectly can be fatal, an EMT killed my father with Narcan. He was a long prescribed user of opioids presenting with unconsciousness as the EMTs arrived he regained consciousness and complained of stomach pain. The EMT decided my father who had been responsibly using opioids for decades was having an overdose. Minutes after the first dose of Narcan he lost consciousness again, vomited profusely (possibly choked to death were not sure) as they were suctioning his airway he went into cardiac arrest and they were not able to revive him. It’s called acute withdrawal syndrome. So in short Narcan should not be as widely available as some people want it to be, because it’s not as safe as some people want you to think it is. Also because the condition is so rare and my father’s health was so poor (hence the opioids) nobody gave a shit not the hospital, corner, the lawyers, nobody. It couldn’t be proven concrete Narcan was 100 percent to blame. And it was a sterling (undeserved) reputation for safety. My only hope is people learn it’s not a miracle drug it’s just a regular drug and needs to be administered with the same care and caution as any other drug.
