You already receive power from multiple utilities, you’re just billed by one. It works because the transmission lines act as a common carrier, maintained by the regional provider.

That’s how the internet should work... one backbone, multiple providers. This is also how roads and rail lines work and really how any social utility should work.

The dismantling of Title II protections is less of an issue than the blatant call for network segregation as a utilities right (excuse me, a businesses right since they aren’t utilities anymore).

And while regional monopolies aren’t inherently a bad thing (ma bell planned on everyone having gigabit ftth by now), removing consumer protections against negative, monopolistic practices is and clearly creates anti-trust issues.
