I'm actually pretty easy-going with sub boxes and usually am in the camp of 'try new things, try new colors, sub boxes are surprises, you can't like everything' but I'm pretty annoyed this month. I totally understand customization can't really accommodate every preference but I know I listed myself as fair with straight hair and getting two products in one box that are so far off really sucks (#91 with the medium Tarte and the Brigeo curl cream.) I've actually enjoyed most of my boxes so I won't cancel but I'm just really sad this month. This is my poor grad student little luxury.

I'm also a bit annoyed by the luxury box. The reason I chose Play when I cancelled BB was to receive Sephora brands. I didn't know there were going to be tiers. I suspect Sephora has the clout to access luxury samples but in smaller amounts but would rather expand subscribership than limit it for quality. I know Rouges were happy to have something available to them for once but honestly access to spending more money on samples isn't really a good benefit for the price you spend to get there.
