Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple employees donating to Elizabeth Warren, even though she wants to break up big tech

All of the big tech companies are not the ones who worry about the possibility of regulation because they have the lawyers and the money and the push to wiggle their way out of however it effects them. The real victims of this will be the small and middle businesses who no longer have access to cheap and free data, as data is the currency for everything in tech land. No more easy mobile apps to print money - no more app ecosystem - no more easy entry. Are you okay for paying for google instead of giving them your data? Data is currency for you too.

And you can say, yes, obviously, and that is bad and hence the need for regulation, but ask yourself this - do you trust congress to do it? You shouldn't, and we're watching play out why in the EU right now. They will fuck it up. Inevitably. Industry has been trying to win the copyright war forever and it was only through the deep pockets of tech that we have what little we do. It will strangle the internet.
