Google was never really serious about tablets.

Hey!

tablets are not the future.

Yeah, cause they've been reality for a few years now. Maybe you don't have a use for a tablet at work. I don't either but mine is my portable entertainment center. Not for games, it's for tv & movies & books & comics. 128 GB SD card inside of whatever I want to watch and read, and I can take it anywhere, no internet connection needed. I keep it in one of those made-for-children huge foamy cases and take it with me wherever I go. I got 20 minutes alone to eat lunch? Maybe I'll watch an episode of Community or Futurama or Baskets. 90 minute wait while I'm getting new tires put on my truck? Maybe I'll read a few issues of TWD or Art of the First Cities - The Third Millennium BC from the Mediterranean to the Indus from the Metropolitan Museum of Art or The World of Ice and Fire. Lying in bed and can't fall asleep? Maybe I'll turn on The Princess Bride or Spaceballs or Jaws. Oh, there's Wi-Fi? Ok let's watch Netflix or HBO then.

You know how to use a laptop, you just haven't figured out how you will want to use a tablet yet.
