Google's push to bring employees back to offices in September is frustrating some employees who say they'll quit if they can't be remote forever

You know what you're doing. Old friend got a good deal on a 2br in upper Manhattan with job in White Plains. I was like, "Dude Sawmill Parkway (2 land ancient high speed, start/stop winding road of pain), every morning, every night!?"

He was like, "Relax I have a plan."

Once he paid off the apartment he sublet it and has since never been more than 15min from his job. Couple years ago he moved to LA and he's still renting out there because of the 15 minute rule. I took a page from his book and limited the commute times for my contracting business and focused on building my customer base closer to home and it's one of the best moves I ever made.
