No thank you. I don't want the biggest monopoly on the planet - the US Government - controlling my Internet as if they'll somehow be a magical benevolent party with my best interests in hand who definitely WONT collude with giant monolithic ISPs.

How about we just leave the free market to the free market and rely on healthy competition.

These ISPs hot as big as they did by paying politicians to draft industry refulations that only benefits them and make it nearly impossible for competition to arise.

Why the fuck would we then trust the whole of our internet to those same politicians from that same central institution?

There is no logic in that.
