The GOP would overturn the filibuster to impose a national abortion ban if it wins the midterms, ex-RNC chief suggests

This is a prime example of the overreach that keeps dividing this nation. The pro-life lobby got what it wanted. States rights now prevails. That was the intention of the founders. However, the pro-life zealots just can't stop stoking this issue. Their fanatical mindset now requires them to cram their dogma down the throats of residents in those states that will never outlaw abortion. Although they don't get it, that approach is destined to eventually backfire on the pro-lifers. Why? Because strong arming people in that manner merely intensifies resistance. That's what happened under Prohibition and that''s what's going to happen here if the pro-lifers persist in overreaching.
