Gordon Walton: "WoW killers almost killed the mmo business"

Wildstar had it... they freakin had it... but people were burned out from the time investment that was vanilla//tbc wow. Wildstar came around just before wrath dropped. Which changed WoW entirely as a game. Removal of all the time investment and got you straight into the action that your best friends older brother was talking about for years!

It was all there! PVP, PVE, long quest chains involving tens of hours grouped with the same players. Raids actually needing coordination. Atunements in order to enter the raids. Generally well developed class system, with some flaws obviously. A massive new world to explore that actually looked intriguing.. man it was amazing.

To bad wrath sucked all the players back during Wildstars first content drought between the first and second tier...

Such a shame really. That game was amazing.
