Got diagnosed, doc started me on Straterra

I've been on Atomoxetine (generic Strattera) for about a month and a half now also taken with sertraline(SSRI) simultaneously with it. At first, I got extremely drowsy and felt just kind of shitty.I knew that by taking Strattera, I'd have to battle through symptoms for awhile and probably not see much difference.

So after 2 weeks on 25mg, I went up to 50mg and that's when I noticed a change somewhere along that increase in dosage. I could concentrate a bit better but it wasn't anything to make me think it was a big deal.

Spent around 2 weeks on that dose then moved up to 75mg and thats when I noticed that I could concentrate for long amounts of time and I would just focus without having that mental cloud. I can post in more detail about all the other benefits if you want. That's the dose I'm currently still on, and will move up 100mg at perhaps the 8 week mark.

The biggest downsides were the drowsiness which can perhaps be alleviated by taking it at a different time of day (ask your doctor if drowsiness is a problem obviously). Sometimes I wake up in the middle of my sleep and I had some pretty weird dreams that were oddly vivid at the beginning. Which maybe is due to the fact that norepinephrine increase increases visualization among other things of that nature. It gets a lot of hate in some places, but it's working for me and it's all day, which to me if it works is the biggest benefit of it. If you can stay with Strattera despite some of the side effects in the beginning, it could potentially help you. Obviously if Strattera puts you into near psychotic mental states or increases suicidal thoughts thats a side effect you wouldn't stick with.
