One of our biggest exports/ imports is trades workers, and I don't think people are going to put up with having to get a work visa to enter or leave Alberta to work. Not to mention Canada isn't just going to let us leave without us paying them what is owed. Or the cost of switching all of our money over, the paperwork involved for every minor business, house, permit, etc that would have to change over. It would cost a crippling amount of money alone to do that. Our population is so small that we would crumble within a short few years (if that). Alberta would screech to a standstill for months while it figured itself out and by then, our economy would be so far in the shitter that it would take decades to maybe fix. That's just a small fraction of what needs to happen. Every government document would have to change. That doesn't magically happen. And you can't just say "make it just carry over" because that's a legal nightmare and literally impossible. Don't get me started on goods and service tarrifs on a landlocked province.
Who's going to pay for that? The seperatist slackjaws who are against government overreach and taxes? Get bent.
Takes some real brain rot to not understand how money works enough on simple levels like that and still argue this would make us prosper.

Apologies if this rant is all over the place. These people have no common sense whatsoever and it hurts my brain. The worst part is I know people like this and their comeback is always that I'm an idiot who doesn't understand shit about dick, while all they do is circlejerk ideas in an echochamber of equally delusional fuckwits because librulz have ruined this country.
If you are one of these pants on head rock eaters, go live on a commune in the boonies if you want to be out of this hellscape so much. All of us hate you more than you hate this country, and it's not even close.
