I got my invite, but can’t reach the page with download directions.

Not to be a pessimist, but I'm dealing with the same issue (the download link in my waypoint message leads nowhere) and I've been trying to get it addressed and fixed all day with absolutely no luck. If you look around I'm sure you'll find (as I did) a ton of conflicting information about which platform and store you've been approved for the flight. For example, my waypoint message says it was for Halo infinite through the Microsoft store for PC, however, my halo insider profile says that I have been approved for Xbox? (Don't even own one). Microsoft support will just send you to 343, and the ticket submission website is broken on 343. Basically what I'm telling you is, there is no way for you to fix it, as there's no code for you to enter or (valid) link for you to click, Microsoft/Xbox support agent openly admitted to me that 343 handles all of that, and 343 ticket submission is broken, and the 343 "contact us" link brings you to the same Microsoft support that sent me there in the first place, so you can't even inform the necessary party of your issue, EVEN IF there was some sign that they would send a code or fix the link. Sorry man, I'm not trying to crush your hopes, but I've been actively trying to get my download for HOURS and it's simply impossible right now, if you weren't one of the people who was lucky enough to get a direct steam key in their message.
